As always, I spent the rest of Saturday evening replaying my favourite moments and riding the post-social high until 4 a.m. 🤣

I could not be more grateful for this beautiful community of curious, kind, and courageous women, and for the space that we’ve created together. It’s truly become a space where women can freely enter into as their authentic selves and be met with so much joy and acceptance. And we also just have a lot of fun together. 💁🏻‍♀️

Rove & Frolic is only getting started, and I can’t wait to watch this community grow. This year has been such a fun and exciting time, and I just can’t wait to meet more incredible girlies and to continue solidifying friendships with those who consistently attend our socials. It’s International Women’s Day and I can’t help but think about all the incredible women who have courageously shown up to a Rove & Frolic social throughout the past year. Each of you bring something so unique to the table, and it’s always so beautiful witness. Today is a celebration of you and all that makes you YOU. May you always bring your authentic self to every space you enter into and know that you have something valuable to offer. 💝

Slowly but surely getting off at each tube stop to explore the area without doing any research or using my phone to guide me. It’s been such a fun way to explore London more. It takes the pressure off when you don’t have any expectation and just allow yourself to follow your curiosity.

People keep asking, “how was it?!” and all I can manage to say is: it was absolutely perfect 🥰💐💝💌

@artistresidencelondon took such good care of us and made sure we were well fed and had a constant supply of wine 🍷 they provided the most beautiful, cosy space that had us feeling right at home.

After dinner, we wrote love letters to ourselves and to our closest friends then picked out flowers for our own personalised bouquets. 💐 (All the while taking loads of photos and having lots of laughs and chats.)

But what really made it so special is the incredible and beautiful girlies who showed up. 🫶 What good is a beautiful dinner party and loads of wine if there’s no one to share it with?! Each of the women bring something so unique and special to the table, and I’m always so honoured when they choose to spend their time at one of our socials.

Rove & Frolic is a place to meet new people and try new things, but it’s also a community that you can come back to again and again. You’ve always got a place at the table here, whether you’ve come before or not at all… you’re very welcome and wanted always. 💝

It’s never been about running cool events … it’s always been about building community, connecting women and nurturing new friendships. (And yes, we do that through running these socials but there’s got to be a larger purpose to them than just being fun and aesthetic.)

Reliving the very first @roveandfrolic social 🥹

The girls still talk about this very first social which I organized nearly a year ago!! We booked out the entire @accessoriesofold warehouse in Parson’s Green so we could throw a little party. It was such a special time and we had so much fun dancing & singing to the best playlist, eating from charcuterie boards that we washed down with @mothdrinks cocktails and designing our very own charm necklaces and bracelets.

So, to celebrate one whole year of this beautiful community, we’re doing it all again (except this time there’s pizza because those charcuterie boards were a pain 😆)

London spots worth frequenting 🔂

Honestly, I stress myself out sometimes thinking I need to always be exploring new places, because London is so full of hidden gems and highly reviewed spots that I should try them all, right? But equally, I love that there are spaces so good I just want to go again and again even when I have the choice to try something new.

A lot of my fav coffee shops and food spots aren’t actually within central London but more local to me or in more obscure areas within the city. With the current position a lot of smaller businesses are in at the moment, it’s even more important to support local businesses.

These are just a few of the spots I go to regularly (within and outside of central; small and big businesses; touristy spots and hidden gems), but I’ll share more with you in future. Maybe I’ll even do an exclusively small business one, if that’s something you’re passionate about, too. 🫶

We can’t be what everyone wants or needs. We can really only be ourselves, and that will be more than enough for the right people. But finding those people … well, you have to take the risk of possibly being rejected for the chance of meeting a person who really values you & your friendship. 👯‍♀️ That takes a significant amount of vulnerability and courage, and it can be hard sometimes.

We kicked off the new year with a fun outing full of coffee, shopping and good food alongside the most amazing women.

I know it takes a lot of courage to show up to a space where you don’t know anyone, which is why I’m always amazed by the women who show up and really give it their all to intentionally connect with other women.

This museum gift shop is my kryptonite 😩

When I want cute souvenirs for family and friends, I know I can count on @vamuseum to have something that they’ll actually want to display and not shove in a drawer 🤣

(They also have the prettiest postcards which I plan to use for my art gallery wall.)

There’s other great spots for unique gifts like Spitalfields Market or Portobello Road Market, but when it comes to museum gift shops, I think this one takes the cake 🎂

I love being a tourist. I don’t care how long I’ve lived in London, I will forever be taking photos of the London Eye and Big Ben every chance I get. 💁🏻‍♀️ And I’ll still be doing the “touristy poses” 35 years into London living, but what I won’t do is wait 30 minutes in a queue just to get that shot.

As I walked through Central the other day, I noticed how there were queues stretched to the end of street for the classic, red phone booth photo op near Big Ben. And like I said, I’m all for getting the shot, but my spot just across the bridge has an amazing view and doesn’t have queues. You’re welcome x

Homeeee ❤️ Gosh, it feels so good to be back in my favourite city. The beautiful thing about living in a city like London is that no matter how good my holiday is, I’m always excited to get back.

I’m taking my time to settle in (jet lag had me sleeping until 3 p.m. yesterday and wide awake until 3 a.m. 🫠), but I’ll be back in the swing of things soon enough. Some fun things are coming this way, so I’ll be sure to keep you in the loop. 💌 happy new year, girlies. It’s going to be a good one.

I hate trying to recap an entire year, because how do you capture 365 days of goodness, hard work, sweat and tears in one post?! You don’t. But I’ll still give it my best go. 💁🏻‍♀️ 2025 has been such a monumental year. In February, I launched roveandfrolic.com, and the following month, I hosted our first event for about 25 women. I had been dreaming of this for at least a year, so to finally see it come to life was so surreal and a little nerve-wracking, if I’m honest. But everything about it has been so rewarding. I’ve since met even more incredible women at various events throughout the year. I’ve had the most fun planning these for you, and I’m so looking forward to many more in this new year. 🥰

I also got to travel to Spain, Morocco and France with my bestie, which is kinda crazy and so cool. It’s such a gift to do that and do it with someone you love. 🫶 I went to several states within my home country throughout the year, as well. My husband and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary with a camping trip in Wales. And because my job requires me to travel throughout the UK, I got to revisit several cities and towns like Canterbury and Manchester, which I’ve come to adore.

In between these fun travels and events were the little moments that I rarely capture any evidence of, but they are no less significant just because there’s no picture of it.

I’m proud of the way I lived 2025, and I can’t wait to say the same thing at the end of 2026. But for now, I’m prepping and planning our first few events to kick off the new year with more girl time, giggles and roving together.
